Welcome!

We at St. Matthew’s thank you for visiting our website and pray that God will bless your day. Our firm belief is that God loves you and that you are invited to experience that love and what it can mean for you.

We are meeting in person for services at 9 am.  Masks are not required, but are available at the church, if you wish to use one. We have ample space for social distancing. Communion is available at all services (except for our occasional Morning Prayer services), with wine and wafer. The sermon only is live-streamed on our Facebook page: (StMatthewsLisbonMaine).   We pray you will find peace and spiritual renewal in your walk with the Lord.

Mission and Purpose

St. Matthew’s is a faith community, grounded in the Holy Scriptures, whose mission is to make Jesus known in the power of the Holy Spirit, through joyful worship, fellowship, prayer, healing, study, outreach and evangelism.

St. Matthew’s purpose is:

  • To be a community where one can come to know Jesus Christ as one’s personal Lord and Savior by the power of the Holy Spirit, and be supported as one grows in knowledge and love of Him,
  • To be a community where one can reverently and joyfully experience worship,
  • To be a community where supportive and loving fellowship is lived,
  • To be a community where one can receive prayer, Christian reinforcement, and support in one’s daily life,
  • To be a community whose priority is to encourage persons to become Christ’s disciples and responsible members of His Body,
  • To be a community concerned with the needs of others and constantly willing to reach out to the hungry, the suffering, the naked, the weak and the lost.
